At nearly 64 your a mere spring chicken but it’s hard to disagree with anything else you have said. My favourite pubs that I used to watch up and coming bands in are gone and, you are right again, the old bands I still would like to see charge way too much for my pocket these days. It’s great that you seem happy and positive David and Adam is right, weirdly there is a liberation in growing older. 651/2 is even more liberating 😁 Having said that, and just between you and me, today’s society scares me a little and I know it never used to.

Love this. There's a liberation in growing older

That's well put and is how it feels!

David I can relate to a great deal of this. Its a really odd time in our lives as our focus shifts from meeting the expectations of so many others, to taking stock and thinking what happens next.

Quite the manifesto David, but I don’t disagree. These days, trying to hold and protect our own little corners of the world is the best most of us can hope to do. At a minimum, it doesn’t hurt anyone else. And if by chance, we get to do some good and make others’ lives better, it’s a bonus. Hoping for a kinder less cynical world at some point. 🤷🏻‍♂️
